CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 11, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Aurora Spine Corporation (“Aurora Spine” or the “Company”) (TSXV: ASG) (OTCQB: ASAPF), a designer and manufacturer of innovative medical devices that improve spinal surgery outcomes, today announced it is the recipient of the Annual Spine Technology Award for 2022 for its DEXA Technology™ Bone Density-Matched Interbody Implants.

Aurora’s DEXA Technology was recognized by RRY Publications LLC and the Orthopedics this Week magazine for its innovative technology developed to match spinal implants to patients’ bone density. The award will be handed out at the 37th Annual Meeting of the North American Spine Society (NASS) in Chicago, USA.

Aurora Spine’s first-of-its kind DEXA Technology™ is designed to match a patient’s bone density, promote bone in-growth while maintaining the biomechanical structure and bone support. Aurora Spine’s DEXA Technology™ is part of the company's advanced portfolio representing the future of Spinal and Orthopedic implants. Following fundamental principles of patent focused innovation, DEXA Technology™ was logically created and patented to combine the essential design benefits of conventional machining, 3D printing, and additive implant manufacturing.

U.S. stock futures and commodities slipped in Asia on Monday after Beijing denied it was considering easing its zero COVID-19 policy, though resilience in Asian equities took some of the sting out of the selling. Risk assets had rallied on Friday amid speculation China was preparing to relax its pandemic restrictions, but over the weekend health officials reiterated their commitment to the "dynamic-clearing" approach to COVID cases as soon as they emerge. "Despite the denial, notions that China will pivot to living with COVID in the new year are unlikely to be quashed given the very real toll that zero-COVID is having on the economy," said Tapas Strickland, head of market economics at NAB.
